This terraced house located in West Hampstead is close to a main road full of shops, a desirable area for families, but the house was in need of a full refurbishment.
We were approached by the owners, a young couple with a growing family to create a more liveable space according to their needs, they knew what they wanted but they needed an architect to guide them through the planning process and to achieve their ideas.
A side and rear extension plus a new rear dormer to the main roof and outrigger were approved by Camden Council.
The renovation has been done to a high standard, original features were kept, we just renovated them, like the front door and chimney breasts, the front lounge is separated from the open plan kitchen and dining room by a small study and toilet. At the ground floor, the bi-folding door at the
rear extension, once opened up, connects the well maintain garden and the kitchen area, and together with the skylights to the side and rear of the extension, it brings an abundance of light to the interior of the house. The first floor has a massive master bedroom with a walk-in wardrobe and an en-suite, a bedroom and a bathroom. The loft has two bedrooms and a bathroom.
